Marvel just dropped the new Black Widow movie, and it is already smashing projected earnings in the box office. Canonically in the Marvel Universe, Natash Romanova is passed on but she has never left our hearts. The new movie about her life is promising to delve deeper into what made Black Widow the hero that she is, as well as giving us an insight into her superhero backstory. Let’s take a look at some of the things that make Black Widow the amazing superhero that she is.

Abilities

Black Widow, Natasha Romanova, never failed to pass a test in the Red Room, which is otherwise known as ‘The Black Widow Program’. This is the program that took her on when she was a child to teach her the ways of the deadly assassin. As a result of her time there, she is highly skilled in martial arts, hacking, evasion, disguise, espionage, armed combat, and assassination.

She is what is known as a ‘Master Spy’. Both S.H.I.E.L.D. and KGB consider her to be one of their most deadly members. She is an expert in combat weaponry with an efficiency in several weapons including spears, staves, knives, and shields. She is also a skilled gymnast, and she is highly ranked in many forms of martial arts such as: kung fu, wing chun, Krav Maga, and Taekwondo.

She is a Master Assassin, and she places among the ranks as one of the deadliest assassins in the world. She is a master of disguise, and when she needs to, she can disappear without a trace into the background. She is also multilingual and able to fluently speak several languages.

Equipment

Black Widow wears two wristbands called ‘Widow’s Bite’. These wristbands deliver an electric shock to her opponents. She also carries two batons that also deliver an electric shock. She carries taser discs to temporarily disable her opponents, and she has been known for disarming people of their weapons and using them as needed. She is proficient with many kinds of weapons and does not hesitate to show off her skills when using them.

Friends / Family

Natasha Romanova’s real family is deceased, but her adoptive family is presumably still alive and supportive of her. She is friends or allies with everyone in S.H.I.E.L.D., and she is now enemies with her cold colleagues from the red room. She formed a close relationship with Hawkeye and his family too, becoming known as ‘Aunt Nat’.

Superhero Greatness
