4 Brilliant hacks for cheaper travel this summer

Thailand Travel

Now that the CDC has opened travel, everyone is planning and gearing up for their next trip. I know I am! In today’s blog post, I am going to cover my favorite hacks for traveling cheap this summer!

  1. Start Budgeting Now!

This tip comes first because without a budget there really is no way for you to travel for less money this summer. Whatever it is that you plan to do this summer the best and smartest thing for you to do is start budgeting now. Setting an expectation of what you plan to spend or will need to afford the trip will prevent you from overspending. This is a huge mistake that so many travelers make. So set your limits that way you can still live within your means and also enjoy traveling.

  1. Search for Cheap Flights.

There are so many platforms that are currently available that show you what the best deals are. Sites like Expedia, Skyscanner, and Priceline are all immensely popular sites for finding cheap flights. But if you want to get the best deal you need to be monitoring these sites daily. Spend a few minutes each day comparing prices on each site and wait for the best deals to pop up. Individual airlines also have deals for last minute flights so if you are looking to do a last-minute weekend getaway then make sure to go on the airlines site and you can find flights for as cheap as $88 one-way (I found one ticket from New York to Florida today for this price!)

  1. Chose Cheaper Countries to Travel To

If you are working with a tight budget, then choosing a cheaper destination is probably best if you want to make the most of your travels this summer. A budget of $4,000.00 can mean different experiences in different countries. Your $4,000.00 in Thailand could offer you a month of luxury and adventure while $4,000.00 in Paris will just get you there and back. This hack is super important when deciding how and what you want to spend your money on.

  1. Last Minute Cruises

As I mentioned before, booking airline tickets last minute can be cheap and worth the experience. Cruise Lines offer even cheaper tickets when booked last minute compared to airlines. The reason behind this is because the closer it gets to a ship leaving the dock for the next 4-7 days, they want to fill it up with anyone and everyone. Carnival Cruise line often has last minute deals for cruises if you want to go on a vacation and have a tight budget. So next time you are thinking of traveling, buy a cruise ticket, grab your passport, and enjoy an all-inclusive trip to the Caribbean Islands for as low as $250 per ticket!

I hope that you found these hacks useful that way you can enjoy a summer full of travel this year and tell me all about it! We always love to hear from our readers so leave a comment below of your all-time-favorite travel hack!
